School Holiday Experiences with Real Impact
When school wraps up, routines change. Some kids love that freedom, while others need structure to feel secure. We’ve designed our holiday programs with both in mind. There’s space to explore, but also enough routine to keep things comfortable.
You might notice your child lights up in different ways depending on the activity. A sport-loving kid could thrive in an adaptive games session, while another may prefer sitting quietly with a craft project or joining a sensory-friendly workshop. We try to make sure everyone has something they look forward to. What we run isn’t a one-size program. It’s a mix of options that fit different personalities:
- NDIS Provider -approved vacation care with safe supervision and planned activities
- Inclusive group sessions that focus on making everyone feel welcome
- Accessible outings and workshops, from nature walks to art and tech-based fun
- Supported respite days, where families can rest knowing their child is well cared for
In most cases, these activities are close to home in community parks, local centres, or venues that are easy to get to. Sometimes we even head out to museums or play spaces that kids talk about long after the holidays are over.
How We Assist Through The Scheel Breaks
Parents often tell us they want more than just “keeping the kids busy.” What they’re after is genuine support, a safe environment, and opportunities for their child to build independence. That’s what we focus on. Here’s a glimpse of how we make it work:
- Running programs in community venues around Sunshine West and nearby suburbs
- Building activities around each child’s interests while still encouraging group interaction
- Having support providers who know when to step in with guidance and when to step back so kids can try on their own
- Keeping days structured enough to feel familiar but open enough to let new experiences unfold
- Helping with practical things like transport, meals, or ndis nursing personal care, so nothing holds a child back
- Staying in touch with families through updates, so you’re never left wondering how the day went
You might see small changes after a few sessions, such as children being more vocal and confident in expressing themselves. Those shifts are the kind of progress that grows slowly, often in everyday moments like learning to catch a bus with the group or helping set up for an activity.
Our team is here to walk alongside you. We’ll talk through your child’s goals, help choose the right program, and make sure every holiday has something that feels worthwhile.
